Geography Test

When we went go-karting the other day we stopped at a monument, celebrating something or other. Anyhow they listed all the nations of the world that took part, and I took a couple of shots. My challenge to you is simple - spot the made up countries, or "contrys" as it says!

I'll give you a clue. Jordan's a real country.

If you said Oman, you're wrong.

The organisers of this festival must have been really gullible to think that International Badgers Club was a country. And Radio Scout sounds like a character from some GI Joe cartoon. Another question - I take it that It. Polynesia stands for Italian Polynesia. Does such a place exist? I must have missed that one myself.

Hot tip for the people who erected this fine monument - get your spelling right. You can't change it once it's built. Let's hope that no-one from Liechienstein, Qutar, St. Marino, Newzealand and Srilanka (not to mention Urguray and Ukline and the Untied Arabmirates, which were to be found elsewhere) sees it or they'll be a tad miffed that you didn't care enough to get their countries' names right.

Oh, and for everyone who hasn't visited my pad in Sokcho, here's a view from my window.

Told you I lived close to the beach.

Hi Stuart -

It's your old friend Debbie! I'm bored at work and I was thinking about you guys back in Korea, so I thought that I'd check out your blog. I've been home now for almost three months. Everything is good. I got a job as an administrative assistant (READ: office bitch) at a good company. It's really boring, but they pay pretty good and I spend my time emailing and reading blogs like yours. Armen is great! He still talks about you and does his shitty impression of a Scottish accent. We are moving in together in a few months and hopefully getting a puppy. Heather came to visit LA in September...we had fun. It was good to see her. She said that you all got shit-faced off the vodka that I sent and that the three men salivated over the chocolate....good to hear. I knew that Cadbury would get you brits! I was hoping those gifts would brighten one of your days. I would kill for one good night and druken fun with you, Steve and Lloyd. I miss you guys and I miss Korea. Although, home is good too. I'll email soon. Keep up the blogging...bored employees like me need reading material! I miss you all! Sing one at the noraebong for me! Debbie

Hiya Stuart!!!

here's a blast from the past!! It's your old flatmate Kirsty (or 'cursed tea' to be more acurate). Neelo told me about your site last night - over the phone as I now live in Cleveland (I can hear the disparaging remarks about this crumbling industrial metropolis brewing in your brain!!) USA and am married to an American called Darren - who was very pleased when Neelo called him 'Dazza' when we were visiting in July. We are definately not in as party-tastic a place as you and there's no dog on the menu except at dubious fast food chains. I'm just sweating balls practicing to take auditions with the other 150 or so bass players all scrambling to get a full time orchestra job. In the meantime I have a good gig in an orchestra an hour away and then sell my soul to Borders part-time. You bored yet - I am.
Sounds like your having a blast!! Good luck with the kiddies.
Kirsty
